The services encompass a range of options, including counselling on reproductive choices, medical assessments, and access to safe and legal termination procedures. The service prioritises the well-being and autonomy of service users, offering a supportive and understanding environment throughout the decision-making process and striving to empower individuals to make informed choices about their reproductive health, promoting dignity and confidentiality. The ICB is intending to award a contract to an existing provider following direct award process C, where the existing provider is satisfying the existing contract and will likely satisfy the proposed new contract, and the contract is not changing considerably, and the test for considerable change is not met. This is an activity x price contract with an indicative value of £3m. The dates between which the services are intended to be provided are: 01/04/2026 to 31/03/2027.

Quality and innovation\nBPAS are achieving all of the current contract KPI requirements and service users report excellent satisfaction rates. Quality and safeguarding compliance are assured via current contract management processes. The provider promotes innovation, for instance in their telephony and web user interfaces, to improve data capture, quality of service and support business continuity.\n2. Value\nThe service has been evaluated as offering good value in terms of costs, and overall benefits to service users.\n3. Integration, collaboration and service sustainability\nBPAS actively participates in the ICB hosted Women\u0027s System Partnership, which is a strategic forum designed to bring together women\u0027s health leads and partners across LLR to improve health outcomes and access, as well as reducing health inequalities.\n4. Improving access, reducing health inequalities and facilitating choice\n\u2022 BPAS has worked pro-actively with the ICB, making use of a variety of local media, to ensure that women are aware of how termination of pregnancies funded by the NHS can be accessed.\n\u2022 BPAS also provides choice by offering the use of any location within the country which enables service users additional confidentiality.\n5. Social value\nIn addition to abortion advice and treatment BPAS provide pregnancy testing, counselling, Sexually Transmitted Infection screening and contraception through the network of reproductive healthcare centres.\nBPAS also provide specialist contact centre services to the NHS such as Central Booking Services to speed up access to abortion treatment across a range of NHS and agency providers.\nAll income generated from the services provided by BPAS is invested in UK services and advocacy work.",
