    "description": "In 2004 the GMC began a major project (the Strategic Applications Project) to rationalise the IT systems in use and increase the efficiency of business processes by selecting and migrating to an integrated suite of Enterprise Applications.  This project was concluded in 2010 when full data migration and systems integration was achieved.\r\nThe focus for the Enterprise Systems and IS Data Team is now the ongoing support of the systems and developments to enable continuous improvement in business processes and to adapt to business and regulatory change.",
