Cyber and data protection training is required for members of staff to protect against security threats which are impossible to be caught by the councils cybersecurity systems. Some threats, such as email attachments containing viruses or suspicious links from external parties imitating other organisations are dependent on officer knowledge not to expose the council to risk.
