    "description": "The contract is for a single supplier to Supply and Install of Uninterrupted Power Supply to BACS Control Panels at The Pirbright Institute, Ash Road, Pirbright, Surrey, GU24 0NF.\r\n\r\nSee Appendix E - Contract Scope.\r\n\r\nPROJECT SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES\r\nThe Brooksby Building at The Pirbright Institute (Pirbright) will be a high containment facility for work on high consequence pathogens such as foot-and-mouth diseases virus (FMDV) when fully operational in 2026.\r\n\r\nAs part of the post-construction \u0027Day 2\u0027 works there is a requirement to carry out additional works to the Building Automation and Control System (BACS) within the Brooksby Building to ensure it is fully aligned with the primary system used across the rest of the Pirbright site.  \r\n\r\nThe following package of work has been funded:\r\n\r\n\u2022\tInstallation of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) to critical BACS Control Panels \r\n\r\nEquipment -  1 x Large UPS Unit\t\r\nRiello 30kVA Master MPS (6 Pulse Rectifier, 384VDC Battery, UPS to be fitted with a Multicom 384 comms card to be wired by Pirbright appointed contractor. \r\n\r\nEquipment - 20 x Small UPS units\r\nSentinel Pro single phase on line 1kVA (0.8kW) 240v a.c. \r\n\r\nMaterials - As required\t\r\nAll required materials to be included: Cable, containment, Unistrut etc.\r\n\r\nInstallation\tLarge UPS unit\t\r\nInstallation of 1 large UPS to 415v a.c. 3ph distribution board 50-DB-06-A-MECH rated at 100Amp complete with bypass switch fed from 50-SB-01-A at the main LV switch board on the AHU deck. This is inclusive of re-routing SWA and black plastic coated metallic flexible conduits. Install a Unistrut base to keep the UPS off the concrete with a clearance of 100mm. \r\n\r\nInstallation\t20 Small UPS Units\t\r\nInstallation 20 Sentinel Pro UPS Units at locations indicated in drawings, external to control panels to give best possible ventilation. The \"shelf\" to be constructed of Unistrut and installed at a height to be serviceable and not to cause obstruction or in a position that may pose a concern to engineering team members. \r\n\r\nCommissioning and testing\tAll units\t\r\nTest and commission all the above UPSs with installation to BS7671 electrical installation standard\r\n\r\nDocumentation\tALL\t\r\nUpdated drawings showing site installation works\r\nTesting and commissioning results \r\n\r\nTo also be included in tender:\r\n\u2022\tDelivery of all materials to site\r\n\u2022\tProduction and issue of a programme of works \r\n\u2022\tProvision of O\u0026M Manual\r\n\u2022\tProject management",
