    "description": "Hampshire County Council\u0027s School Transport service have procured a digital bus pass solution via a competitive quotation process. The aims and objectives of the service are to:\r\n\r\n- To  ensure Hampshire County Council meets its statutory obligations to provide transport to eligible children on the vehicle that they  have been assigned.\r\n-Enable monitoring of usage of vehicles and to ensure that vehicles are not overloaded or underutilised. \r\n- Improve the accuracy and timeliness of the data held by HCC on pupils accessing vehicles. \r\n-Ensuring the data that the Council has  on its pupils accessing services, is up to date.\r\n- Improve the process, and reduce costs, for issuing bus passes by moving from hard copy bus passes to a predominantly digital solution.\r\n-To work with a supplier that will support the implementation of an innovative solution to generate efficiencies and support the rollout to transport operators in line with the requirements detailed in the specification.\r\n-Support the Council\u0027s environmental priorities by reducing the need to print and post paper bus passes to the addresses of eligible pupils and schools.\r\n\r\nThe contract duration will be one year with two optional one year extension options.",
