    "description": "Milton Keynes City Council are currently out to tender for the provision of Demand Responsive Transport Service. This procurement is being run via further competition under MKCC CU2688 Local Bus and Shared Taxi \u0026 Demand Responsive Services DPS Lot 2 Shared Taxi and Demand responsive service. A contract for the operation and the software to run a Demand Responsive Transport service within the parameters laid out by the Council. The service will use a mobile app provided by the successful tenderer as well as web and phone options to interface with the same system for customers. Calls will be booked at the time of travel, not in advance. The successful tenderer will supply all vehicles and drivers. This is a minimum subsidy contract with the successful tenderer retaining fare box income and taking the revenue risk. Service users will be directed to a commercial bus route where viable.
