Greater Manchester (GM) is on a mission to make on foot and by bike travel the natural choice for everyday journeys. The city-region's plans are underpinned by the Bee Network - the integrated London-style transport system which joins together buses, trams, rail as well as cycling and walking. We're connecting every area and community in Greater Manchester with 1,800 miles of safe routes and 2,400 new crossings, with aim of delivering this network by 2040. The aim is to put nearly all residents (95%) within 400 metres of a high-quality walking, wheeling and cycling route. To encourage active travel, TfGM wish to build on the success of the most recent events programme delivered in 2023/2024 and are looking to establish a contract for the provision of services relating to delivery of active travel engagement events across Greater Manchester from May 2025 to July 2026. The expectation is that the supplier will deliver a minimum of 45 engagement events that are focused on promotion of active travel, with coverage across Greater Manchester.
