    "description": "Lot 1 Van Conversion Passenger Transport Vehicles x 18 (eighteen)\r\nTo supply vehicles to the Council\u0027s Specification. Please note: the Specification for the Van\r\nConversion vehicles includes a requirement that four of the eighteen vehicles must be fitted\r\nwith a driver security feature to ensure a passenger with challenging behaviour cannot\r\ninterfere with the driver and that the vehicle can be brought safely to standstill if required.\r\n\r\nLot 2 Coach-Built Passenger Transport Vehicles x 3 (three)\r\nTo supply vehicles to the Council\u0027s Specification included in the tender documents.\r\n\r\nAs part of the evaluation, bidders asked to explain how they will meet the Council\u0027s technical\r\nspecification for the vehicles and to explain what aftersales support, warranty, driver\r\ntraining/familiarisation they will provide and their delivery timescales for the vehicles.\r\n\r\nBids are invited for either or both Lots\r\n\r\nThe contract term is 12 months with the option to extend for up to a further 12 months.\r\nThe extension period is to accommodate slippage on the build timescale that may arise due\r\nto matters beyond the supplier\u0027s control e.g., supply chain delays due to wider socioeconomic,\r\npolitical or environmental factors.",
