    "description": "Seaton Valley Council plans to replace and renew its existing playparks and equipment throughout to provide safe, durable and inclusive outdoor spaces that support well-being. The council is also seeking to improve its environmental impact and biodiversity. \r\n\r\nThis contract is for the removal and disposal of expired equipment in two separate locations, and to supply and install replacement equipment. \r\n\r\nLocations:  \r\n- Seaton Sluice Young Person\u0027s Playpark, Beresford Road\r\n- St. Michael\u0027s Avenue Young Person\u0027s Playpark, New Hartley\r\n\r\nContractors will be expected to excavate and dispose of the existing climbing frames in each location.  Supply and install a new inclusive multigym in each location, including reparation of the surrounding area with wet-pour. Completion of all required safety checks post installation. \r\n\r\nA submission form (provided) should be submitted by the deadline.  Information requested on the form includes company profile, summary of relevant experience, detailed description of work to be completed, equipment to be supplied, safety standards and regulations, availability and timeline for all aspects of the work, and a quote detailing the individual cost of each element.\r\n\r\nApplicants are encouraged to visit the playparks independently before submission.  \r\n\r\nSubmissions will be scored based on (not in priority order): \r\n\u2022 Price: Cost-effectiveness of bid, considering initial costs and long-term value. \r\n\u2022 Quality: Durability, safety, and quality of materials and equipment.\r\n\u2022 Play Value: Variety and quality of play activities for different ages and abilities.\r\n\u2022 Design: Visual appeal and design, integration with surrounding environment.\r\n\u2022 Safety: Equipment meets relevant safety standards \u0026 regulations.\r\n\u2022 Environment: Sustainability and environmental impact of materials and installation.\r\n\u2022 Experience:  Previous experience and proven track record in similar projects.\r\n\u2022 Maintenance: Maintenance requirements and warranty offered for the equipment.\r\n\u2022 Legal and Compliance: Evidence of relevant insurances, and health and safety protocols.\r\n\u2022 Timeline: Start date and anticipated completion date for the project. \r\n\u2022 Clarity: Submission is concise, well-structured, and easy to review without wordiness.\r\n\r\nDeadline for submissions: Midnight on Sunday 2nd November 2025.\r\nInternal review: Week commencing 3rd November 2025.\r\nFinal decision: Wednesday, 26th November 2025.\r\nStart date for project: December 2025. \r\nCompletion date: Ideally, no later than 8th Feb 2025.\r\n\r\nSubmissions should be emailed to: \r\nAdmin - admin@seatonvalleycommunitycouncil.gov.uk \r\n\r\nFor further information about Seaton Valley Council:\r\nWebsite - https://seatonvalleycommunitycouncil.gov.uk/ \r\n\r\n* Please see documents provided for further guidance and submission templates. *\r\n\r\n** Please note that contract values provided are INCLUSIVE of VAT**\r\n\r\nAdditional information: Please ensure that you follow the template and guidance notes provided for making a submission.\r\n\r\nPLEASE NOTE: Highest Contract Value is INCLUSIVE of VAT.",
