    "description": "The Council is procuring a contract to install the security doors \r\nto allow Cumberland Council to inspect Rome Street Arches \r\non spans 1-6 and 8-12. O.S. grid Co-ordinates 340145E; \r\n555204N. \r\nThe works include: - \r\nVentilation grill installation where missing (approx. \r\n10) \r\n Install new security doors and carry out repairs to \r\nwalls as detailed in the specification. \r\nThe Eastern elevation of spans 1-4. Saw cut new \r\nopening in existing blockwork and install new security \r\ndoor as per the specification. \r\nThe Eastern elevation of spans 5 \u0026 6. Saw cut new \r\nopening in existing blockwork and install new security \r\ndoor as per the specification. Removal of container \r\nand re-site. \r\nThe Western elevation of spans 8 \u0026 9. Saw cut new \r\nopening in existing brickwork and replace the existing \r\ndoor with a double door as per the specification. \r\nVegetation Clearance. \r\nThe Western elevation of spans 10. Replace the \r\nexisting door with a double door as per the \r\nspecification. Vegetation Clearance. Take down and \r\nrebuild the end wall which is suffering from a lean. \r\nThe Western elevation of spans 11. Replace the \r\nexisting door with a new single door as per the \r\nspecification. Vegetation Clearance. Take down and \r\nrebuild the end wall which is suffering from a lean. \r\nThe Western elevation of spans 12. Not suitable for a \r\nstandard height door. Build up wall and fit customised \r\ndoor or inspection hatch as per the specification. \r\nVegetation Clearance. \r\nSome sections of wall are missing/ damaged to spans \r\n8-12. There is quite a bit of work required to the brick \r\nend walls of spans 8-12.  \r\n\r\n The land adjacent to spans 8-12 is a little bit \r\novergrown, but easily accessible at the moment as the \r\nvegetation has started to die down. We believe there \r\nis hardened ground below, or at least there was in \r\n1994. it\u0027s just built up with vegetation and debris \r\novertime. The contractor is required to excavate down \r\nto hardened ground to give us a 2m clear strip \r\nadjacent to the structure.",
