    "description": "Planned maintenance works on a number of rockfaces / vegetated slopes between Torrington and Bideford on the A386 at 3 separate locations; North of Beam Quarry, Ridd and Landcross.  Works are to include vegetation clearance and scaling of existing slopes and rock faces, assisting with Geotechnical Inspection and then to undertake any subsequent remedial works required. This work is part of a wider programme and the Contractor will need to start within 2 weeks of the contract start date. Other slope stabilisation works are planned on this section of the highway, which this forms part of the whole project. This has been planned to complete as much work as possible under one lot of traffic management to reduce the disruption to the travelling public and cost savings to DCC. Delays in the appointment of the contractor may result in this joint working not being achieved.",
