Pluss CIC is a subsidiary of Seetec and this contract will be with them. \r\n\r\nWe provide tailored support to help participants progress in their journey, to deal with their barriers and get into sustainable employment. It is therefore crucial support is accessible and timely.\r\n\r\nThe successful contractor shall provide daily door-to-door transport services for adults with learning disabilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and dignified transportation between their homes and Pluss at the Scott Business Park, Plymouth PL2 2PQ.\r\n\r\n\u2022\tMorning Collection: Service users to arrive at destination PL2 2PQ  by 09:00 to 9.15am, not earlier \r\n\r\n\u2022\tEvening Collection: Service users to be collected at 15:30\r\n\r\n\u2022\tOperating Days: Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)\r\n\r\n\u2022\tAnnual Operating Days: Approximately 250 days per year\r\n\r\nService User Profile\r\n\r\n\u2022\tNumber of Service Users: 15 adults with learning disabilities who attend on different days.  6 - 9 people travelling each am/pm\r\n\u2022\tAge Range: 18+ years\r\n\u2022\tMobility Requirements: All of the current passengers do not have any significant mobility issues\r\n\u2022\tSupport Needs: Varying levels of support needs, including occasionally some service users who may require assistance with seatbelts, communication support, or behavioural guidance.  All will need to be escorted into their homes or Pluss due to lack of road safety skills\r\n\r\nAll of our customers live in Plymouth, Plympton or Plymstock.  Maximum total distance of continuous journey of all travelling in one session (am or pm) is 22 miles.  \r\n\r\nThe minimum distance is 16 miles.  Currently use 2 - 3 taxi cars per am/pm but open to use MPV\u0027s or Minibuses.  \r\n\r\nVehicle Requirements\r\n\u2022\tVehicles must be appropriate for the number of passengers (minibus if more than 8 passengers)\r\n\u2022\tAll vehicles must be less than 7 years old at contract commencement\r\n\u2022\tVehicles must comply with DVSA standards and hold valid MOT certificates\r\n\u2022\tAppropriate insurance coverage (minimum \u00a32 million public liability)\r\n\u2022\tGPS tracking system for safety and monitoring purposes\r\n\r\nDriver Qualifications\r\n\u2022\tValid Category D1 licence (for minibuses) or Category B (for taxis up to 8 passengers)\r\n\u2022\tEnhanced DBS check (renewed every 3 years)\r\n\u2022\tSafeguarding training completed and refreshed annually\r\n\u2022\tDisability awareness training\r\n\u2022\tBasic first aid certification\r\n\u2022\tMinimum 2 years experience working with vulnerable adults preferred but not essential\r\n\r\nAdditional Requirements for Driver\r\n\u2022\tStaff must be able to provide basic support and reassurance to passengers\r\n\u2022\tFriendly staff with good communication skills\r\n\r\nAdditional information: Reliability\r\n\u2022\tImmediate notification system for any service disruptions\r\n\u2022\tBackup arrangements for vehicle breakdown or staff absence and communication with Pluss if there are any issues or delays\r\n\r\n Quality Standards\r\n\u2022\tDignified and respectful treatment of all service users\r\n\u2022\tVehicles to be clean and well-maintained\r\n\u2022\tTemperature controlled environment\r\n\u2022\tRegular vehicle safety checks and maintenance records \r\n\r\nCommunication\r\n\u2022\tDaily communication with Pluss staff when necessary\r\n\u2022\tIncident reporting system\r\n\u2022\t24/7 emergency contact available\r\n\r\nPolicies and Procedures\r\n\u2022\tComprehensive safeguarding policy in place\r\n\u2022\tClear incident reporting procedures\r\n\u2022\tRegular supervision of staff\r\n\u2022\tComplaint handling procedures\r\n\r\n Training Requirements\r\n\u2022\tAnnual safeguarding training for all staff\r\n\u2022\tEmergency procedures training\r\n\u2022\tPreferably Autism awareness training however not essential \r\n\r\nInsurance Requirements\r\n\u2022\tPublic liability insurance (minimum \u00a32 million)\r\n\u2022\tEmployer\u0027s liability insurance\r\n\u2022\tProfessional indemnity insurance\r\n\u2022\tMotor vehicle insurance appropriate for passenger carrying\r\n\r\nService Flexibility\r\n\u2022\tAbility to accommodate changes in service user numbers and occasional different groups (within reasonable limits)\r\n\u2022\tFlexibility for additional journeys for special events or appointments",
