    "description": "Halton Borough Council is seeking to procure a service for the receipt, recycling, treatment or disposal of a number of municipal waste streams produced from the delivery of its Open Spaces Services and Waste Management Functions. The service shall also include the provision of skips. \r\nThe tender has been split into Lots, which are detailed below:\r\nLot 1 - Bulky Household Waste\r\nComprising bulky household waste items, such as but not limited to, furniture, beds, mattresses.\r\n\r\nThis will include domestic seating waste that contains persistent organic pollutants (POPS). To ensure compliance with relevant legislation, disposal arrangements and procedures will be requested. \r\n\r\nPrice provided should be for Bulky waste containing POPS and Bulky waste not containing POPS (if applicable).\r\n\r\nNote - This Lot does not include \u0027white goods\u0027, such as cookers and refrigerators or freezers, or televisions and other display screens.\r\n\r\nEstimated Annual Tonnage is 150\r\n\r\nLot 2 - Mechanical Sweepings\r\n\r\nWaste from mechanical street sweeping machines\r\n\r\nEstimated Annual Tonnage is 1260\r\n\r\nLot 3 - Street Cleansing Waste \r\n\r\nMixed waste materials collected from street cleaning operations such as litter and fly tipped items.\r\n\r\nEstimated Annual Tonnage is 700\r\n\r\nLot 4 - Horticultural Waste\r\n\r\nWaste collected from the Council\u0027s Landscape Maintenance operations, such as but not limited to, tree prunings\r\n\r\nEstimated Annual Tonnage is 700\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLot 5 - Hazardous Waste (Tyres)\r\n\r\nVarious sized vehicle tyres\r\n\r\nEstimated Annual Tonnage is 9\r\n\r\nLot 6 - Skip Hire \r\n\r\nPublic Places\r\nProvision of 8 yard skips for placement in public places for the separate depositing of the following materials;\r\n\r\nMetals\r\nWood\r\nGeneral Waste\r\nNote - The Council may require individual skips to be provided or up to all 3 of the above skips to be provided at the same time; including on a Saturday. \r\n\r\nEstimated Number of skips per annum 80\r\n\r\nHalton Borough Council Premises\r\nPlacement and emptying of skips at HBC premises as per the details below.\r\n\r\n10 yard skips for scrap metal \r\n\r\nEstimated Number of skips per annum 6\r\n\r\n40 yard skips for general waste \r\n\r\nEstimated Number of skips per annum 15 \r\n\r\nGreen Waste \u0026 Soil Skips (Cemeteries)\r\n\r\nPlacement and emptying of the green waste and soil at HBC Cemeteries as per the details below.\r\n\r\nWait \u0026 Load - Green Waste (1 cemetery)\r\nWait \u0026 Load - Soil (2 cemeteries)\r\n\r\nEstimated Number of total wait \u0026 loads per annum 12\r\n\r\n15yd RORO Skip - Soil (1 cemetery)\r\n15yd RORO Skip - Green Waste (2 cemeteries)\r\n\r\nEstimated Number of skips per annum 12\r\n\r\nBidders may bid for individual or multiple lots in any quantity or combination. \r\nLots will be awarded separately and in accordance with the award criteria set out in this Invitation To Tender document\r\n",
