    "description": "South Yorkshire Future Trams Ltd SYFTL (owned by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority - SYMCA) are looking to enter into this concrete track pothole repair contract for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further year, subject to satisfactory performance.\r\n\r\nSYFTL wishes to engage a competent, industry respected contractor to identify, prepare and repair potholes in the concrete track slab of the Sheffield Supertram light rail network, within the embedded sections (where our rails are embedded in the road). The work aims to restore structural integrity, ensure safe vehicle operations, and extend the lifespan of the infrastructure.\r\n\r\nKey objectives of the contract are to:\r\n*  Repair potholes and surface defects in concrete slabs.\r\n*  Minimise disruption to tram services and local traffic.\r\n*  Ensure compliance with national and local regulations.\r\n*  Maintain safety for workers and the public.\r\n\r\nThe estimated contract value for the period of 3 years (with an option to extend) is thought to be between \u00a3200 to \u00a3250k.\r\n\r\nThe successful Supplier will ensure that all relevant consents and certification required by legislation, guidance or Good Industry Practice are obtained and maintained.  In addition to the following: \r\n*  Clearly identify any legislation, or relevant standards that are required to be met or achieved throughout the contract including British (BS) or European (ISO, EN \u0026 DIN) standards and national government standards or their equivalents (e.g. Building Regulations).\r\n*  Vendors must have adequate insurance coverage, including professional liability and workers\u0027 compensation, to cover any potential risks associated with the works.\r\n\r\nPlease see tender DN781840 to register interest and bid.\r\n\r\nAdditional information: \r\nThe contract will be with South Yorkshire Future Trams Ltd, based at Nunnery Depot, Woodbourn Road, Sheffield, S9 3LS.
