    "description": "West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) is seeking to grant a concession (the Concession) to a qualified Service Provider to supply, install, maintain, and operate electric vehicle charge points within the region.  \r\n\r\nTo support residents and businesses in their transition to a low carbon economy, WNC are committed to the delivery of a sustainable high quality electric vehicle public charging network across the region that represents: \r\n\u2022\tA positive customer experience of public EV charging that is: \r\no\tEasy to use, intuitive and integrated, \r\no\tInclusive and accessible to all, and \r\no\tFairly priced, while \r\n\u2022\tA fair financial return on resources and opportunities provided by the Council. \r\n\r\nExcept where noted, the Service Provider must be able to supply, install, operate, and maintain the chargers at no cost to the Council, outside of LEVI funding. The Service Provider must demonstrate their experience of supplying and operating charge points across the UK with a high level of customer satisfaction. \r\n\r\nThe Council will be contributing \u00a32,853,000 in capital funding, secured through Government\u0027s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) scheme. \r\nThe Authority has estimated the total procurement valuation to be: \u00a37,000,000. This takes into account the Authority\u0027s contribution of \u00a32,853,000. The service provider\u0027s investment towards this concession contract should amount to a minimum of \u00a34.2m.  \r\nThis procurement is being conducted in accordance with the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016. The Authority intends to conduct a competition following the Competitive Dialogue process to identify and define the solutions which are best suited to meeting the needs of the Authority as set out in the procurement documents. \r\n\r\nThe amount of income likely to be derived by the concessionaire is currently unknown.
