    "description": "A recent High Court decision in NOAL SCSp \u0026 Ors v Novalpina Capital LLP \u0026 Ors\r\n[2025] EWHC 1392 (Ch)1\r\ninterpreted the law governing members\u0027 voluntary\r\nliquidations (MVLs) to mean that all creditors (and interest) must be paid in full within\r\n12 months of the commencement of the liquidation procedure. There is currently limited\r\ndata and research evidence available on MVLs. The Authority is therefore\r\ncommissioning a one-off research project for two primary purposes. Firstly, to better\r\nunderstand the potential impact of this ruling. Secondly to explore and understand the\r\nMVL landscape more generally, with particular focus on metrics around efficiency and\r\neffectiveness.",
