    "description": "The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is responsible for promoting public transport within the West Midlands, operates and maintains bus and Metro stations and passenger shelters, supports local railway services and stations and provides passenger transport information.\r\n\r\nMidland Metro Ltd (MML) is 100% owned by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). It operates as a standalone business, taking on full responsibility for the network under the name of West Midlands Metro. MML took over running the Metro in June 2018.\r\n\r\nThe West Midlands Combined Authority on behalf of Midland Metro Limited (MML) is awarding a Single Supplier Framework Agreement to a supplier of Track Works Services, to deliver a programme of works as part of a NEC4 Single Supplier Framework. The term of this framework is 4 years and includes a range of track work types; including gauge restoration, rail replacement, ballasted rail works, tram stop rail replacement and embedded rail works. This framework will allow the call-offs of projects utilising the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Short Contract 2017.\r\n\r\nThe appointed supplier will be responsible for completing works as called-off by MML, with funding being agreed based on quotes and an agreed schedule of rates. All appointed works within the framework will be completed in line with NEC4 requirements. MML reserve the right to add, remove, or change the presented scope to meet the needs of the Track infrastructure and business.",
