    "description": "Project contract for the repair and refinishing of the sports hall and gymnasium floors, including line marking.\r\n\r\nIn addition to their normal and intended use, the indoor sports floors have suffered significant additional wear and tear as a result of repurposing of the space for Graduation, Open Days, exams and other non-sporting events.  \r\n\r\nThere is an urgent need to rectify issues with the floor and ensure it is fit for sports use and teaching, and does not present any risk to participants. \r\n\r\nAlthough it is acknowledged that a replacement surface will be needed in the long term, the objective of this procurement to extend the usable life of the current surfaces, both of which are \"Altro Mondosport Wood effect vinyl\".\r\n\r\nThe remedial process will involve:\r\n\u2022\tchemical cleaning.\r\n\u2022\trepair and reweld to damaged seams.\r\n\u2022\treplace and reweld broken seams.\r\n\u2022\tsupply and lay line markings using a 2-part polyurethane games paint.\r\n\r\nThe surfaces are:\r\nSports Hall: 34.83m x 18.09m\r\nGymnasium:  c.28 x 15m\r\n\r\nThe Sports Hall and Gymnasium will be closed to users during the period of the works, and advanced notice of the closure will be given to patrons.
