    "description": "Costain have been appointed to deliver contract HRS02, the Tunnel and Lineside Mechanical and Electrical services for HS2 ltd. A high-speed railway project that connects London to Birmingham with plans to extend in the future.\r\n      \r\n      Package 15 Dampers and Actuators scope for contract HRS02 consists of dampers and actuators within the headhouses and ventilation shaft areas of the railway, the route being circa 180 km in length, inclusive of;\r\n      \r\n      -\tFan Isolation Dampers\r\n      -\tTunnel Isolation Dampers\r\n      -\tAssociated Actuators and Limit Switches\r\n      -\tAssociated Panels \r\n      \r\n      Costain require a supplier for design and supply only of the damper and actuator package. Costain and HS2 are looking for innovative and smart solutions that provide benefits in the following key areas; \r\n      \r\n      -\tHealth and Safety \r\n      -\tProgramme - Installation and commissioning efficiency \r\n      -\tCost \r\n      -\tQuality and Assurance efficiency \r\n      -\tWhole life cost \r\n      -\tCarbon efficiency \r\n      \r\n      All the innovation and design development must be accompanied with a rigorous approach to ensuring that the technical requirements are met. Including testing, where necessary. The scope of the design and supply will include the following;\r\n      \r\n      -\tSupport to Costain\u0027s design partner through concept and detailed design \r\n      -\tVentilation analysis, modelling and calculations \r\n      -\tTesting of products and arrangements \r\n      -\tProvision of samples and mock ups \r\n      -\tCommissioning support, as required\r\n      \r\n      Full details of the scope and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of the HS2 project and are to assess their internal capabilities to be able to carry out the intended scope of works prior to completing the expression of interest.",
