    "description": "Scope/ What Will Be Required  \r\n       \r\n      Costain have been appointed to deliver contract HRS02, the Tunnel and Lineside Mechanical and Electrical services for HS2 ltd. A high-speed railway project that connects London to Birmingham with plans to extend in the future. \r\n      \r\n      \r\n      Package 4 the transformers, switches and sockets scope associated to contract HRS02 consists of supply of transformers, switches and sockets for the tunnel and open route sections of the railway, the route being circa 180 km in length, inclusive of; \r\n      \r\n      -Sockets and Transformers 110v - 230v  \r\n      -Sockets and Transformers 400v - 690v  \r\n      -Maintenance Transformers  \r\n      -ATS Isolators  \r\n      -ATS Isolator Switches  \r\n      -Auto Transformer Switches  \r\n      -Isolation Transformers  \r\n      \r\n      Costain require a supplier for supply only of the Transformers, Switches and Sockets package. Costain and HS2 are looking for innovative and smart solutions that provide benefits in the following key areas; \r\n      \r\n      -Health \u0026 Safety  \r\n      -Programme - Installation and commissioning efficiency  \r\n      -Cost  \r\n      -Quality and Assurance efficiency \r\n      -Whole life cost \r\n      -Carbon efficiency \r\n      \r\n      The scope of supply will include the following; \r\n      \r\n      -Supply of Sockets and Transformers  \r\n      -Supply of Isolators  \r\n      -Supply of Auto Transformer Switches  \r\n      -Provision of samples and mock ups  \r\n      \r\n      Full details of the scope and specifications will be provided to the successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of the HS2 project and are to assess their internal capabilities to be able to carry out the intended scope of works prior to completing the expression of interest.",
