    "description": "The Council wishes to invite tenders for the supply of works/services in respect of  carrying out essential external masonry, window, roof and associated work to The Symington Building, Adam \u0026 Eve Street, Market Harborough, LE16 7AG.  The planned work to the existing roof will ensure that the building remains watertight for the future.   \r\n\r\nThe aims/objectives/service priorities of this contract are:\r\nto carry out essential work as there have been numerous reported leaks recently, the planned work to the existing roof will ensure that the building remains watertight for the future.  \r\n\u2022\tThe essential work to the windows has been established during a recent survey of same. To include the overhaul opening casements and endeavor to leave all fully operational on completion. Treat any underlying corrosion and redecorate all. This to include treatment and redecoration of all painted metal window head details, beams and lintels. Renew any cracked glazing panes and all cracked/aged glazing putty.\r\nWork includes\r\n\u2022\tRoof repairs to ridges, replacement of loose, broken slates to the main roof.\r\n\u2022\tReplacement of spalling and decaying face brickwork.\r\n\u2022\tRepointing of areas to face brickwork.\r\n\u2022\tRepointing of coping stones to dormer roofs.\r\n\u2022\tOverhauling of metal crittal windows.\r\n\u2022\tExternal decorations of windows, doors, and rainwater goods.\r\n",
