    "description": "Thornbury Town Council is seeking an expert conservation contractor to carry out conservation and repair works to 50+ monuments (and walls) in the closed churchyard of St Marys Church in Thornbury.  The works are fully detailed in a recent conservation report (see supporting document) and include safe removal of mature and invasive ivy from monuments, removal of other vegetation, repointing, repair of sections of stone, resetting of stone, insertion of new stone, etc.  The contractor will be required to apply for relevant planning permissions from the local authority on behalf of the Town Council and assist the Town Council with obtaining a Faculty from the local Diocese.",
