    "description": "This role supports the operationalisation of the Hub\u0027s monitoring and forecasting processes as part of the MELA function. \r\n\r\nAbout the EdTech Hub Programme\r\nR4D is the prime contractor for the FCDO Directorate for Research and Innovation Hub on Technology for Education (EdTech Hub) programme. The aim of the EdTech Hub is to empower people by giving them the evidence they need to make decisions about technology in education as part of a global non-profit partnership focusing on research, innovation, and engagement.\r\nEdTech Hub is a global research partnership that aims to empower people by giving them the evidence they need to make decisions about technology in education.\r\n\r\nEdTech Hub:\r\n\r\nUndertakes and funds robust and rigorous research in five key topic areas.\r\nDelivers support in up to six core countries to develop and deliver Sandboxes to learn about technology in education in a specific environment.\r\nDelivers Technical Advice and Helpdesk support to FCDO, UNICEF and World Bank advisors as well as government officials on technology in education.\r\nFunctions as a Hub and shares a range of Learning Products to make evidence available to a wide audience.\r\nEdTech Hub is delivered through a consortium of R4D and five core sub-contractors as well as range of country and activity specific local and international sub-contractors. From a management perspective, it is a complex programme funded by multiple donors including various departments within the FCDO, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank and UNICEF.\r\n\r\nOverview of the Role\r\nThe Monitoring \u0026 Forecasting Lead contributes to all aspects of the EdTech Hub\u0027s Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Adaptation (MELA) function but is primarily responsible for overseeing monitoring data collection and analysis. The role works closely with Hub delivery teams to design and implement data systems and processes that support data collection and analysis for decision-making as well as reporting. In addition, the Monitoring \u0026 Forecasting Lead will work closely with the Hub Communications Team on effective dissemination of the results and the operations team on ensuring usage of the systems and uptake of the insights for decision making. They will also lead forecasting efforts by working directly with program leads to reflect on data from previous periods and adjust forecasts for coming periods.\r\n\r\nResponsibilities \r\nAnalysis of monitoring data that feeds into the Results Framework (Logframe, VFM and KPI) and reporting including quarterly reports, annual report, annual review etc..\r\nSupport Hub delivery teams to collect output and outcome data through streamlined monitoring systems and processes.\r\nSupport Hub delivery teams to forecast and re-forecast their costs monthly, adapting to programmatic changes and donor feedback.\r\nSupport the MELA team in evaluation design, data collection, analysis and sensemaking of the results.\r\n\r\nAdditional information: How to Apply\r\nDue to the high number of applicants, we cannot directly respond to all candidates.\r\n\r\nWithin your application, please ensure to list your day rate in GBP.\r\n\r\nThe final closing date for applications will be Friday, 7 March, 2025.",
