    "description": "A contractor is required to provide comprehensive planned generator servicing and maintenance (henceforth collectively \"the service\") to Nottingham University Hospitals Trust (The Client)\u0027s generator sets, including, but not limited to, the following:\r\n\r\na. Planned Preventative maintenance comprising both a:\r\ni. Minor Service as defined in the specification, and\r\nii. Major Service as defined in the specification, which shall include, but not be limited to, oil change and provision of\r\ntemporary generator sets as a minimum\r\n\r\nb. Load bank testing to be completed after major service\r\n\r\nc. Ad-hoc call-out services and reactive maintenance (E.g. call out to attend the property in the event of a fault with the Trust\u0027s generator(s)\r\n\r\nd. Disaster recovery solution which shall include, but not be limited to, provision of temporary generator sets on a hire basis in the event of failure/fault with the Client\u0027s generator set(s).\r\n\r\nThe Purpose of the Client\u0027s generators is to provide resilience in the event the property\u0027s electrical supply is disrupted e.g. due to mains power failure or localised electrical infrastructure failure.\r\n\r\nThe Objective of the Client\u0027s generators is to ensure the Client\u0027s critical operations, including, but not limited to operating theatres, aren\u0027t hindered due to lack of electrical supply.\r\n\r\nIn order to satisfy the Purpose and Objective, the service shall include, but not be limited to, the following:\r\n\r\na) service and maintain the Client\u0027s generator sets to a high standard to ensure all of the Client\u0027s generators operate to a high level of reliability, efficiency and availability.\r\nb) ensure that temporary generators are supplied and installed as part of the Contractor\u0027s proposed disaster recovery solution to provide resilience within the minimum timeframes in the event any of the Client\u0027s generator set(s) fail or be unavailable for any reason.\r\n- Installation shall include, but not be limited to, doing everything necessary to enable the Contractor\u0027s temporary generator set to provide electricity supply to the Client\u0027s property.\r\nc) Make suggestions/recommendations to increase reliability whilst providing value for money.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the requirements set out in the Scope, the Contractor shall ensure the Client\u0027s generator sets are serviced and maintained in accordance with the following:\r\n\r\na) Health Technical Memorandum 06-01 (HTM 06-01)\r\nb) Health Technical Memorandum 06-02 (HTM 06-02)\r\nc) relevant manufacturer\u0027s recommendations\r\nd) relevant industry standards\r\ne) good industry practice\r\n\r\nThe duration of the contract is 24 months (The Initial Term), with the option to extend for a further 36 months, meaning the duration of the contract may be extended to a maximum of 60 months.",
