    "description": "Provision of various steelwork fabrications, structural repairs and associated maintenance support services at the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry.\\r\r\n\\r\r\nThere are many routine and ad hoc maintenance requirements, as well as smaller projects across both services, for instance:\\r\r\n-\tcontract support services,\\r\r\n-\ton-site welding inspection and testing,\\r\r\n-\twelding, maintenance, repairs and metal fabrications on board the ferries,\\r\r\n-\tmaintenance and repairs to shore side infrastructure such as ferry chain gantries,\\r\r\n-\tminor structural repairs to bridge structure, gantries and runway beams,\\r\r\n-\tbridge and ferry inspection support,\\r\r\n-\troutine annual maintenance activities - greasing, cleaning bearing and joints, etc.,\\r\r\n-\tlarger one-off contracts such as major bridge access improvements,\\r\r\n-\tgeneral labour support - ferry chain replacement, ferry gantry maintenance.\\r\r\n\\r\r\nPlease note that existing arrangements involve the present contractor typically attending at Tamar Bridge \u0026 Torpoint Ferry sites each month for a duration of anywhere between 10-14 days depending on workloads and client requirements.\\r\r\n\\r\r\nSuitably qualified and experienced contractors are invited to apply.\\r\r\n",
