The demands of our  students and staff have changed significantly during this period, as has the technical  capabilities of vendors. Whilst the existing solution is functional it lacks a modern approach and is resource intensive to support.\r\n\r\nTo deliver our digital vision, the University has identified the need to implement a modern, scalable, modular network with the enhanced security benefits modern technology brings. High levels of automation to allow the efficient management of the network whilst not compromising security.\r\n\r\nThrough technology and our strategic partnerships, the University of Salford are looking to transition our engineers from a supporting function to an enabling and leading function. Thus, providing the capacity to drive the required significant change across our digital environment.",
