    "description": "The structural works are to extend the life of the pier by at least 25 years. The scope includes undertaking concrete repairs, installing Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) system and removal of timber landing stages.\r\n\r\nDue to budget constraints, the Council are considering 3 options, these being: -\r\n\u2022\tOption A: All Concrete Works Only  \r\nConcrete works only. No removal of any of the timber landing stages. \r\n\u2022\tOption B: All Concrete Works and Part Timber Landing Stage Removal  \r\nConcrete works and the complete removal of the Northern and Small Boat timber landing stages only. \r\n\u2022\tOption C: All Concrete Works and All Timber Landing Stage Removal \r\nConcrete works and complete removal of all of the timber landing stages \r\nAll works will be covered by a single NEC4 ECC Option A contract (incorporating a Bill of Quantities for concrete repair works). \r\n\r\nThe Councils preferred option is Option C, if affordable. If this is not achievable, then the Council will consider Option B and if that isn\u0027t affordable then Option A.\r\n\r\nSuppliers can bid to any or all of the 3 options.\r\n\r\nThe specifications which outline the requirements for this contract are contained with the following document \u0027Bournemouth Pier Structural Works - Document Schedule 16.01.2025\u0027\r\n\r\nThe successful Bidder will be expected to commence the works in May 2025 and will be required to ensure the works are completed by December 2026 (not including defects period).\r\n\r\nAdditional information: \r\nSuppliers interested in this opportunity can access the full procurement documentation by visiting BCP Council\u0027s Tendering system www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk\r\n\r\nSuppliers should search for the opportunity through Supplying the South West.
