    "description": "NB Medical are providing a GP Update Course for West Midlands TPD\u0027s and RTT Support Team. General Practice has the broadest training of all the specialities.\r\nThe AKT exam which is a mandatory component of the MRCGP is a multiple choice paper which can ask questions on any relevant clinical area plus suitable questions on statistics and practice management.\r\nThe GP Update courses are designed to cover topic areas which are pertinent to the AKT examination.\r\nDoctors in GP Training will pay for the GP Update Course from their study leave. It is costed very reasonably and delivers worthwhile clinical knowledge through online portal. In addition, there is also access to clinical webinars and e-learning and a resource book (pdf) for 12 months.\r\nThe Training Programme Directors also find attending this course worthwhile as it ensures they also maintain their knowledge base.\r\nThey cannot claim back course fees from expenses and so the course is costed to allow 16 TPDs to attend per area ie 60% of TPDs to attend at a reduced cost than the usual price.
