Description
Defra group Commercial, on behalf of the Environment Agency, invite you to bid in this competition. This notice is to alert the market that the Authority has a requirement for the provision of services to recover and remove sunken and abandoned vessels from reaches of the non-tidal River Thames between Pinkhill Lock and Teddington Lock. Although Environment Agency local enforcement teams continue to be active, the increase of non-compliance i.e. unregistered vessels and their associated poor management, has led to an increase in the number of vessels either becoming wrecks or abandoned (floating). The Environment Agency, as Navigation Authority, aims to create a better place for legitimate customers to enjoy the navigation, therefore approximately 70 vessels need to be recovered from the river. Multiple contracts are expected to be awarded under this procurement with reaches bundled into 5 Lots. Further details are contained within the Bidder Pack and associated Appendices. The Bidder Pack is available to view on the Authority's eSourcing Portal https://atamis-9529.my.site.com/s/Welcome . Tenders must be submitted via the same portal by the deadline stated in this notice. Please ensure you follow the instructions provided in the tender documents.
