City College Peterborough (CCP) is the Council's Adult and Community Learning (ACL) college, offering post-16 education within the city, and has the designation of being a 'grant funded provider'. There are various delivery models within which ACL is offered in England, and the model that has been in place for 20+ years within Peterborough is that whereby CCP operates as an ACL college - a department of the Council, however with the Council delegating financial and management autonomy to CCP and the Governing Board. These delegations between the Council and CCP's Governing Board in relation to financial and management delegations are being revoked to ensure sufficient oversight and assurance of CCP activity and decision making.
