    "description": "The Kent County Council (KCC) wishes to procure a contract to provide recycling and processing services for gas and aerosol waste deposited at all 19 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) across the county.\nThe contract is required to cover the current processing services which involves the collection, sorting, storage, transporting, processing, recycling reuse and recovery of all gas bottles obtained from all 19 KCCs HWRCs.\nThe total tonnage of gas and aerosol waste processed for the 24/25 financial period was 208.65.\nA wide range of gases and aerosols are deposited at the Authority\u0027s HWRCs. The most frequently deposited materials during the 2024/2025 period include:\n\u2022Aerosols\n\u2022Canisters\n\u2022Nitrous Oxide\n\u2022Hard Case Canisters\n\u2022Fire Extinguishers\n\u2022Disposable Helium\n\u2022MAPP substitutes (propylene, or with propane or isobutane)\n\u2022Gas Cylinders\nPlease note that this list is not exhaustive.\nProviders must also be able to return canisters to the appropriate repatriation facilities where required.\nThe Authority seeks to engage a Provider for this contract capable of processing and disposing of all materials received.\nMinimum Requirements\nThe supplier will be required to have in place:\n\u2022A waste processing facility with appropriate permitting and planning permissions.\n\u2022Provide the Authority with signage for the cages or containers including branding and hazard signage.\n\u2022The ability and capacity to collect as required ad-hoc waste from the Authority and waste collection Authorities within Kent.\n\u2022A facility which is able to manage the processing of all gas and aerosols.\n\u2022An appropriate method of weighing-in materials collected (preferably an electronic weighbridge) to provide the council with the appropriate management information (including weigh-loader transaction listings); and\n\u2022robust service contingency plans to ensure continuity of services in the event of plant failure, etc.\nFor more information about this opportunity, please visit the Delta eSourcing portal at: \nhttps://www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk/tenders/UK-UK-Maidstone:-Refuse-and-waste-related-services./8B8QH3F9E3\nTo respond to this opportunity, please click here: \nhttps://www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk/respond/8B8QH3F9E3",
