    "procurementMethodRationale": "The requirement fits within the Defence and Security Contract (D\u0026SC) Regime of Procurement Act 2023, Part 1, Section 7 (1) (a) military equipment, (b) sensitive equipment, (c) goods, services or works necessary for the development, production, maintenance or decommissioning of military equipment or sensitive equipment, \u0026 (f)\nsensitive services or sensitive works.\nThe current Fleet contains proprietary equipment to the proposed Supplier - Schedule 5, section 5 (a) \u0026 (b).\nIt would not be practical or an efficient way of working to remove any equipment prior to and subsequent to any works tasked under this contract - Schedule 5, section 6 (a) \u0026 (b).\nIt is also required to keep Fleet Standardisation, interoperability and compatibility.\nSchedule 5, section 20 (a), (b) \u0026 (c) applies - MOD is a defence authority; the contract will be a defence and security contract by virtue of Part 1, Section 7 (1) (a), (b), (c) \u0026 (f); and, it is necessary for the contract to be awarded directly in order to enhance or maintain the operational capability, effectiveness, readiness for action of specific element of the armed\nforces.",
