***PRE-MARKET ENGAGEMENT EXERCISE*** ***PLEASE NOTE: The Pre-Market Engagement Questionnaire can be accessed in the CfT Documents area***. USEL is to inform potential suppliers of our upcoming fleet replacement programme and to explore the availability of suitable vehicle solutions that align with our operational and environmental requirements. The recycling department is responsible for delivering a growing number of confidential waste collection contracts and council mattress collection services, both of which demand reliable, secure, and efficient transport capabilities. By engaging with the market early, we aim to assess current innovations in vehicle technology, understand lifecycle and maintenance considerations, and ensure that the planned procurement of 2 new vans in 2026 /27 - and two new lorries in 2027/2028 - supports the long-term sustainability and service delivery goals of our social enterprise. This engagement also provides an opportunity for suppliers to share relevant information about their products and services, helping us to better understand market capabilities, lead times, and potential partnership models. Supplier input will be used to shape the final specification and procurement approach, ensuring it reflects both operational needs, industry best practice and environmental impact.
