    "description": "The purpose of this notice is to notify the market that Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) are seeking to find a single supplier for the provision of services relating to the decommissioning of Testing equipment within DVSA\u2019s estate.  \nDVSA will continue to reduce the volume of its Government Vehicle Testing Station (GVTS) Estates in accordance with observed incremental growth rate in the Authorised Testing Facilities (ATF\u2019s) market and moving the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) scheme out to privately owned sites called Vehicle Examination Facilities (VEF\u2019s). This move was set up to bring the work that DVSA conduct closer to Vehicle Operators and Vehicle Maintainers/Suppliers; by encouraging private individuals and entrepreneurs to set up an ATF\u2019s and/or VEFs for private and public use. This was a strategic and positive shift in the way DVSA conducts its vehicle testing business.  \nAs a result of this initiative DVSA testing equipment will become redundant so DVSA will need it to be decommissioned, and the pits and recesses covered. All of the equipment to be decommissioned is from DVSA\u2019s GVTS and Enforcement sites network throughout Great Britain. Due to the complexity of the how sites will be closed it is not possible at this time to disclose the location of the equipment and when the sites will need to be decommissioned.  \nThe equipment that DVSA will need to have decommissioned in a safe manner to enable it to be re-sold comprises of, but not limited to: \nRoller Brake Testers (for light vehicles, heavy vehicles and motorcycles) \nHeadlight Testers  \nSpeedrollers \n4 Post Lifts \nMotorcycle Lifts \nPit Jacks \nAir Compressors \nLoad Simulators \nWheel Play Detectors \nExhaust Extraction Units \nEmission Testers \nCabin Pressurisation Units \nThe specification documents also include full details of how we expect each piece of equipment to be decommissioned; there is also an element of arranging equipment to be moved to other DVSA sites and be recommissioned if certain equipment needs to be retained by DVSA.",
