The chimneys in question, constructed around 1988, are approximately 38 meters tall from main plant room level and made of mild steel.  Externally they are located within an internal courtyard of the hospital (no vehicular access) which is approx. 7.5m above the main plant room level.\nCustomer Objective / Scope \u0026 Specifics:\nFollowing an appraisal and optioneering studies carried out by engineering consultants Mott MacDonald, the Authority is seeking to dismantle one of the steel chimney stacks and to carry out works as described as follows:  \n\u2022 Install temporary boiler and generator\n\u2022 Switch off all main plant\n\u2022 Redirection of the generator flues\n\u2022 Removal of eastern Chimney (Stack 1)\n\u2022 Subsequent weatherproofing of chimney void to plant room roof\n\u2022 Reenergise main plant; CHP and Boiler 3 to remain isolated\n\u2022 Remove temporary boiler and generator plant\nThe site is located at Salisbury District Hospital, Odstock Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP2 8BJ.",
