    "procurementMethodRationale": "This school does not have a school kitchen, but needs to feed over 350 pupils per day.\nThe contract became vacant when Leicester Council closed its catering services business in April 2025. Following this closure, the provision was advertised in a Framework setting, but received no bids from potential suppliers.\nThe school meal provision was then transferred to Leicestershire County Traded Services, who provided the service from April 2025. \nLeicestershire County Council announced the closer of it catering provision in  April 2026, leaving the school without a meal provider.\nHaving engaged directly with other local schools, a partnership has been agreed between a local school, and abm Catering to supply hot delivered meals service to Spinney Hills Primary School from the nearby local school via abm Catering.\nPrivate catering companies are not able to commit to provide a service to Spinney Hills, as they need to have a nearby kitchen in order to do so.",
