The current contract for the requirements described in the Specification. There is a possible demand growth, depending on the age of equipment, failures \u0026 breakages. The Trust currently lacks visibility and oversight in the management of instrument repairs across its theatre departments. The absence of formal contracts and reliance on multiple ad hoc suppliers has resulted in inconsistent service quality, limited cost control, and inefficient decision-making. Instruments are sometimes repaired beyond the point of economic viability, where replacement would have been more appropriate.\nThis procurement seeks to establish a structured, process-driven solution that consolidates repair services under a single, high-performing provider. The objective is to improve operational efficiency, standardise repair quality, and enable better value for money through greater transparency, accountability, and control. Key areas of improvement: Achieve economies of scale. Improve compliance with MHRA and HTM standards; ensure audit trails and instrument traceability.\nDetails of current/anticipated expenditure or potential future uptake are given in good faith as a guide to past purchasing and current planning to assist you in submitting your Tender. They should not be interpreted as an undertaking to purchase any goods or services to any particular value and do not form part of the Contract."
