    "description": "Walsall Council is seeking tenders from qualified and experienced contractors to deliver a comprehensive set of works associated with the installation and maintenance of Disabled Facility Lifts, Hoists and Associated Works. \nThe Council provides a range of assistance for residents who need adaptations to their homes. This includes both statutory and non-statutory grants and loans for residents (home owners, social and private rented).  \nEach year the Council is provided with direct funds from Central Government and from their own sources to assist residents in obtaining these adaptations.  \nThe value of funding available for the Council is subject to change and as such the number of adaptations that can be assisted also changes.  \nA primary area of assistance is the provision of lifts (stair, step, vertical) and ceiling track hoists. Whilst no funding can be guaranteed Applicants will be fully aware that the demographic and health changes in society will continue to mean that residents need / want adaptations such as lifts and hoists.",
