    "description": "To meet the increasing sensitivity demands of new analytical methods that ensure compliance \nwith Environmental Quality Standards (EQS), the existing instrumentation requires upgrading to \nthe Bruker VIP-HESI ion source together with two replacement PCs.\nThe current setup is no longer capable of supporting the precision required for monitoring WFD \npriority hazardous substances, as well as new and emerging chemical threats. In particular, the \nexisting ion source lacks the sensitivity needed to detect these compounds at the low levels \nmandated by EQS.\nThe VIP-HESI ion source delivers significantly enhanced sensitivity, enabling more accurate \nquantification of trace-level contaminants. This upgrade will also prevent premature \nobsolescence of the remaining instrumentation and ensure the system remains fit for purpose.",
