    "procurementMethodRationale": "Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust intends to purchase two SG300 digital pathology scanners from Philips Electronics UK Ltd as an addition equipment supplied under the  Digital Pathology Solution contract awarded to Philips on 11 July 2022.  \nThe scanners will supplement our existing digital pathology equipment and are fully compatible with the image management software (IMS) provided by Philips. \nPurchasing scanners from another supplier would require the Trust to purchase another IMS and interface it with the Trust\u0027s EPR system (Epic), thereby potentially creating two different systems for digital pathology which would be untenable and unproductive.",
