        "description": "This is a contract award notice under Regulation 9(10) of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (\"the PSR\"). \nThe contract for the Service (\"the Contract\") has now been awarded by Sunderland City Council (\"the Council\") under Direct Award Process C of the PSR to the existing provider, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. \nThe Contract was awarded on 25th June 2025, following the previous publication by the Council of the notice of the intention to make an award of the contract to the existing provider and the completion of the standstill period at midnight of the 12th June 2025.\nDescription of Relevant Health Care Services:\nThe Contract is for the provision of an integrated Public Health Service for pregnant women, children and young people and their families in the City of Sunderland.\nThe Service will be delivered using the core elements of a universal reach, personalised response model and will comprise of the following components:\n- \tProvision of antenatal health promoting reviews from 28 weeks of pregnancy.\n- \tProvision of all mandatory universal health and wellbeing reviews as prescribed by the Healthy Child Programme at the following points:\n- \tAntenatal health promoting review\n- \tNew baby review\n- \t6-8 week review\n- \t1 year review\n- \t2-2.5 years review\n- \tProvision of a 3-4 month contact of a six month contact where families may require planned additional contact and support through Targeted and Specialist Services\n- \tProvision of school readiness review\n- \tTargeted support for teenage parents via the implementation of the Family Nurse Partnership\n- \tProvision of the National Child Measurement Programme at Reception and Year 6 of Primary School\n- \tAudiology Screening at Reception year of primary education\n- \tProvision of Public Health advice, information and support\n- \tProvision of enhanced support to children and young people with higher levels of need\n- \tEnsuring children and vulnerable adults are kept safe\n- \tProvision of support to schools in developing a full understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of their pupils\n- \tProvision of Oral Health Promotion\nProvider Details are:\nHarrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust\nLanchester Park Road\nHarrogate, Yorkshire\nHG2 7SX\nThe initial term of the Contract is for a period of five years with an option to extend the Contract for up to a further two years at the discretion of the Council.
