The Authority intends to award a NHS Standard Contract for the provision of Integrated Community Dermatology Services for Mid and South Essex.\nIn line with the regulations, the Authority will observe the standstill period from Monday 16th June 2025 until midnight Thursday 26th June 2025. Representations by Providers must be made to the Authority by Thursday 26th March 2025, this can be made via email to cariad.burgess@attain.co.uk.\nPlease note that this contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the PSR.\nDECISION MAKING PROCESS:\nThe selected provider was selected due to achieving the highest scores across the key criteria used. The provider has been assessed and passed against the relevant key criteria.\nBasic Selection Criteria was set out in the procurement documentation, the Selection Questionnaire (SQ) and were scored Pass/Fail. The full details of the scope of the services are set out within Document 3 \u2013 Service Specification.The new service will provide a single Integrated Community Dermatology Service, including teledermatology, to support improvement in Dermatology services across the integrated care system, ensuring that patients are seen by the right person, at the right time and on the correct pathway. This will reduce health inequalities, improve patient experience, communication and waiting times for patients.\nThe aims and objectives for delivery of the Service include:\n-Provide a single point of access for service users and referring clinicians (for urgent suspected cancer and routine referrals) that streams service users appropriately, using teledermatology where clinically appropriate;\n-Support self-care for service users with Dermatology conditions including digital tools, advice, management plans and onward referral/signposting to health \u0026 wellbeing and voluntary services;\n-Provide rapid access to specialist advice and guidance, clinical assessment, diagnostic investigations (teledermatology), diagnosis and treatment ensuring that patients are navigated to the right pathway for their care in line with the agreed MSE Levels of Care\n-Deliver initial assessment and management providing a one stop model of care, where appropriate, with face-to-face provision across a number of community locations;\n-Deliver follow up care via patient initiated follow up model with telephone, virtual, face to face and supported self-care or shared care with primary care (where shared care pathways are agreed);\n-Robust management of pathways, including waiting lists, utilising a Patient Tracking / Management system.\n-Provide clinical leadership and case management where appropriate ensuring that care is co-ordinated across the pathway;\n-Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings with primary, community, secondary and social care as required;\n-Shared decision making to be implemented throughout the pathway to ensure service users are fully aware of their care and expected outcomes applying the ethos of \u2018no decision about me, without me\u2019.\nThe contract term is from 01st June2025 - 31st May 2030, with the option to extend for a maximum of 24 months.The aggregate value of the contract (including extensions) as advertised in the Find a Tender Service (FTS) is \u00a341,230,073 British Pound Sterling. The financial envelope which acts as an affordability cap for the purposes of the Process is \u00a327,396,668 British Pound Sterling over the five-year term.\nThe service that this notice relates is within scope of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR).
