    "description": "You are invited to submit a tender for the replacement of the lower block roof at Fochriw Primary School. The scope of the project is fully described in the tender documentation but in summary the scope is: \n- Provide and erect fixed scaffolding with built in stairs, hoists for materials, \nand including additional protection over all maintained entrance/exit and \nfire escape doors, double boarded fans, kick boards, brick guards on \nhandrails, netting and any post protection padding as may be necessary, \netc. \n- Removal of existing brick chimney stack to below roof level \n- Ceiling repairs in classroom 024 \u0026 027. \n- Pitched Roof Renewal of lower infant\u2019s block. \n- All works must be carried out and completed over the summer period \nbetween 21st July \u2013 29th August 2025 \n- Allow for all necessary protection to existing flat and pitched roof areas \nnot included in these works. \n- Elevations to be fully scaffolded, must include fixed staircase and internal \nbarrier to floor edge. \n- Heras anti climb fencing to be erected around the complete perimeter of \nthe scaffolding, a minimum 1-2m outside base of scaffolding, to provide \ncomplete segregation between works and building/school users. \n- No Doorways, gates or walkways are to be blocked off during the \nexecution of these works without the prior written consent of the contract \nadministrator. \n- Removal, safe storage, refit and commission of existing PV/solar panels. \n- To the areas noted on drawing number A001, provide and fit new Redland Cambrian roof coverings including all new lead gutters, valleys, flashings, structural roof battens, breathable under cloak, and all necessary ventilation, etc. \n- All to be as the attached BMI Redland specification reference: SM-12-\n000806. \n- Lead to be Code 5 to gutters and valleys with Code 4 to be used \neverywhere else. \n- Form new lead collars and soakers where existing pipework penetrates \nthe roof. \n- To all areas that will receive new roof coverings, provide and fit new \nrainwater goods. \n- To all areas that will receive new roof coverings, provide and fit/overclad \nexisting with new soffit/bargeboards. ",
