    "description": "The service is aimed at supporting parents, carers, children and young people who have been identified as at risk or have experienced domestic abuse. The service will also offer targeted interventions with perpetrators to support them to make and sustain change. The service will be provided to families who are subject to Care and Support Plans through various stages of the system. \nThere are four elements that the service will need to provide through effective partnership working to meet identified outcomes, as follows:\nVictim/ Survivor Service\nWork with the whole family to promote safety planning and wellbeing, reducing the need for statutory intervention.\nSkilled, person-centred interventions with a focus on risk management.\nTrauma-informed, strengths-based interventions to manage and reduce risks and build upon resilience and wellbeing. \nComprehensive risk assessment, safety planning. \nSupport through Court proceedings and ensuring all required support is in place. \nEducating victims/ survivors of domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships, recognising warning signs and developing strategies to manage and reduce risks associated with domestic abuse. \nSupporting victim/ survivor recovery and build resilience with a clear focus on the future and what comes next, in order to promote long term change and positive futures for themselves and their family.\nAttendance at care and support meetings.\nIncreasing levels of own resilience through, for example, increasing employability and perception of confidence.\nChildren/Young People Service\nWork with the whole family to promote safety planning and wellbeing, reducing the need for statutory intervention.\nTo provide support and interventions to any child/young person affected by domestic abuse.\nSkilled, person-centred interventions with a focus on risk management. \nTrauma-informed, strengths-based interventions to manage and reduce risks and build upon resilience and wellbeing. \nComprehensive risk assessment, safety planning\nTo support children and young people where child to parent violence has been identified as a concern within their family. \nSupporting children/young people\u2019s recovery, rebuilding relationships with a clear focus on the future and what comes next in order to secure positive futures for themselves and their family.\nAttendance at care and support meetings.\nPerpetrator Service\nWork with the whole family to promote safety planning and wellbeing, reducing the need for statutory intervention.\nTo provide focussed interventions to perpetrators of domestic abuse.\nSkilled, person-centred interventions with a focus on risk management.\nStrengths-based interventions to manage and reduce risks through increased insight and motivation to make necessary changes in their lives.\nComprehensive risk assessment, safety planning.\nEducating perpetrators of domestic abuse, promoting healthy relationships, recognising warning signs and developing strategies to manage and reduce risks associated with domestic abuse. \nAttendance at care and support meetings.\nIncreasing levels of own resilience through, for example, increasing employability and perception of confidence. \nStaff Development\nBuild on the existing skills and knowledge of Torfaen Children and Family staff via training, advice and reflective practice sessions.\nShare examples of good practice and learning. ",
