    "description": "Located on the Harwell Science \u0026 Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge facility for science, engineering and innovation. DLS allows researchers from academia and industry to investigate the structure and behaviour of the world around us at the atomic and molecular level.\nTo continue delivering the world-changing science that Diamond enables, the facility is being upgraded to Diamond-II, a co-ordinated programme of development that combines a major machine upgrade with new instruments and complementary improvements to optics, detectors, sample environment and delivery capabilities, and computing, as well as integrated and correlative methods. This will be transformative in speed and spatial resolution and will offer users streamlined access to enhanced instruments for life and physical sciences.\nThe scope of the contract is for the design, manufacture, assembly, delivery and installation of a pair of cooled, high power mirror systems (M1 and M2) for the I20-Scanning beamline to the performance detailed in the specification document.\nThe minimum scope of the contract:\n\u2022 M1 - upward reflecting, vertical collimating, white beam mirror and mechanics including bender and anti-sag.\n\u2022 M2 - downward reflecting, flat, white beam mirror and mechanics including bender and anti-sag.\n\u2022 Cooling arrangements.\n\u2022 Temperature monitoring for interlocking\n\u2022 Mechanical Interlocking of displacements between the two mirror systems with electronic feedback to protect the over extension of the bellows.\n\u2022 Vacuum vessels.\n\u2022 Support frames.\n\u2022 Interfaces to beamline services.\n\u2022 Installation of the optic in the bender at the DLS Optics Metrology Lab (OML).\n\u2022 Assembly for site acceptance testing at DLS.\n\u2022 Installation and commissioning into the beamline.\n\u2022 Training for Diamond personnel in the operation of the mirrors.",
