    "procurementMethodRationale": "This direct award is to extend the provision from Pasante. The current NHS SC framework 2020/S 012-023209 is unsuitable for the services needs. 2020/S 012-023209 was due to be replaced on 29th September 2024 but was extended until 31st March 2025. An interim agreement was put in place ref 2425-039-STA-PHW between PHW and Pasante to cover this period until the new NHS SC Framework was in place. \n2020/S 012-023209 was then extended again until 30th June 2025 and this contract is to cover the service until the new expiry date. This STA is 4 months plus an optional 4 month extension. The initial 4 months will allow time for the new framework to be in place and for a contract under it to be created providing it meets the needs of the service. The extension period of 4 months will only be exercised if a) the new NHS SC framework is unsuitable and the requirement will then be tendered, or b) the new NHS SC framework is delayed further in which case the requirement will be tendered.",
