    "description": "\u2022 Main objective of the project\nThis procurement will provide the Council with a single Contractor to provide a comprehensive building fabric works and reactive repair service for the Council\u2019s property assets. The contract will deliver day to day operational buildings works, reactive repairs and minor projects. Activities would typically include unblocking drains, repairing broken windows and doors, minor refurbishment of kitchens and offices and fencing and paving works. All Council operated buildings and parks are in scope including offices, libraries, children\u2019s centres, and day centres.\n\u2022 Justification for contract duration\nInitially a total contract term of 5 years was proposed to mirror the other MTC contracts in existence, however this has been reduced to 4 years (2+1 + 1) in line with current requirements. The length of contract and value will ensure the Contract is attractive to a range of SME and national bidders and should not exclude any part of the market.",
