    "description": "Thurcroft Parish Council invites suitably qualified and experienced playground design and installation companies to submit a tender for the design, supply, and installation of a revitalised children\u0027s playground at:\nLocation:\nGordon Bennett Memorial Hall, Green Arbour Rd, Thurcroft, Rotherham, S66 9DD.\nThe Council wishes to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging play environment with clearly defined areas for younger and older children, and to relocate an existing teenage hut to a more appropriate area of the site or nearby land.\nThe current playground no longer adequately meets the needs of all age groups. In particular:\n\u2022\tThere is insufficient separation between younger children and older users\n\u2022\tExisting equipment lacks progression and challenge\n\u2022\tThe current location of the teenage hut impacts the enjoyment and safety of younger children\nThe Parish Council seeks innovative proposals that address these issues while remaining sympathetic to the surrounding community.\n________________________________________\nProject Objectives\nTenderers should demonstrate how their proposals will:\n\u2022\tProvide distinct play zones for:\no\tYounger children (approx. ages 2-6)\no\tOlder children (approx. ages 7-12+)\n\u2022\tImprove safety, supervision, and accessibility\n\u2022\tEncourage active, imaginative, and social play\n\u2022\tReduce conflict between different age groups\n\u2022\tRelocate the existing teenage hut to a more suitable location (specified by the council)\n\u2022\tDeliver a durable, low-maintenance solution\n________________________________________\nScope of Works\nThe scope includes, but is not limited to:\n5.1 Design\n\u2022\tA full playground layout plan\n\u2022\tClear zoning for younger and older children\n\u2022\tConsideration of natural or physical separation (e.g. planting, fencing, surfacing, pathways)\n\u2022\tIntegration of the relocated teenage hut into an appropriate area\n5.2 Equipment \u0026 Installation\n\u2022\tSupply and installation of age-appropriate play equipment\n\u2022\tRemoval and relocation of the teenage hut to include any necessary groundwork, bases, or minor modifications\n\u2022\tGroundworks and surfacing\n\u2022\tCompliance with all relevant safety standards (e.g. EN 1176 / 1177)\n________________________________________\nDesign Requirements\nYounger Children\u0027s Area (Indicative)\n\u2022\tLow-level equipment suitable for early years\n\u2022\tInclusive and sensory play elements\n\u2022\tSafer surfacing\n\u2022\tGood visibility for parents and carers\nOlder Children\u0027s Area (Indicative)\n\u2022\tMore challenging and adventurous equipment\n\u2022\tOpportunities for physical activity and social interaction\n\u2022\tEquipment that discourages misuse of younger play areas",
