Lot Description: The provision of hosting and ongoing support for software in which the contracting authority holds a perpetual licence and which is used to support the administration of the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme by NHS Scotland which in turn delivers critical clinical services to citizens. The proposed contract will provide continuity of service based upon the existing solution in which there has been significant prior investment, development of expertise within the user community and on which the current operational processes through which the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme in Scotland is delivered rely. The Contracting Authority has embarked upon a programme of work which will consider how the national screening programmes should be supported by IT systems in the future. This contract provides continuity of service for the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme over the envisaged timescales for that review programme and any associated transition to successor arrangements arising from the outcomes of that programme. The contract will be for a period of five years with an additional two one year optional extensions at the discretion of the contracting authority.
