    "description": "Scotland\u0027s Railway Slabtrack Repair \u0026 Maintenance Framework between Network Rail and one Contractor will deliver repair and maintenance works for the 18 miles of slabtrack across Scotland\u0027s Railway. The Contractor shall be required to respond to call outs within the below timescales:\nUrgent Response: Attend within 24 hours of Instruction\nRoute Maintenance: Attend within 7 days of Instruction\nProgrammed: As stated in Contract Order\nThe framework encompasses a broad range of slabtrack-related tasks on and around the railway \ninfrastructure. Key activities include:\n\u2022 General Slabtrack Works: All trades related to slabtrack, including track fixings and sub-structure work.\n\u2022 Inspection and Assessment Support: Enabling works to facilitate inspections and assessments.\n\u2022 Urgent Response: Capability to address urgent situations promptly and respond within 24 hours.\n\u2022 Design Work: Involvement in design tasks as required.\n\u2022 Logistical Support: Booking possessions, isolations, and road closures, as well as managing materials stockholding and transportation.\n\u2022 Surveys and Testing: Conducting surveys and laboratory testing as needed.\n\u2022 Inspection and Testing: Conduct suitable inspection and testing of works in line with railway \nstandards.\nThe framework shall have no committed spend however, it is estimated that there shall be approximately \u00a330 million (including options and headroom) worth of works awarded via this contract over the lifespan of the framework.",
